Rental requirements

Driving licence

It must:

• be presented in original at the time of vehicle handover;
• be valid and not expire before the scheduled return date;
• be intact and not damaged in a way that compromises readability;
• not show alterations, unless officially certified by the issuing authority.

Licences without a photograph or issued in non-Latin characters (e.g. Cyrillic, Arabic, Japanese, etc.) must be accompanied by a valid International Driving Permit or an official translation issued by a competent authority (Automobile Club or Consulate).

Licences issued to non-EU citizens must comply with current regulations for driving in Italy and across Europe. The validity of licences issued to EU citizens is as stated on the document. Primerent reserves the right to verify all documentation in advance.

Età minima

L’età minima richiesta per il noleggio è di 25 anni compiuti, con patente di guida rilasciata da almeno 3 anni.
Per vetture sportive e versioni ad alte prestazioni è richiesta un’età minima di 30 anni compiuti.

Credit card for security deposit

To complete the rental agreement, a credit card in the name of the driver indicated in the Rental Agreement is required.
Only standard credit cards issued by the following networks are accepted:

• American Express

• Visa

• MasterCard

The card must allow the authorisation and blocking of the amount required as a security deposit.

Depending on the selected vehicle category, Primerent may require two credit cards in the name of the same driver, issued by different networks, with at least one not belonging to the Visa/MasterCard circuit. Debit cards, prepaid cards, or rechargeable cards are not accepted.
